Marquee Events

Breakfast & Program Meeting

Held on the third Monday in February at 9 a.m. in Alexandria. Have a hearty breakfast; hear a distinguished speaker, see the presentation of the Ben Lynt Distinguished Service Award; and enjoy good fellowship on the morning of the George Washington Birthday Parade. Tickets are available after Christmas.

Mother's Day at Friendship
Free tours for moms on Mother's Day. Friendship Firehouse will make every mother an honorary chief of the Friendship Fire Company Bucket Brigade; and Mom will receive her own honorary chief certificate!

Father's Day at Friendship

Free tours for fathers on Father’s Day. Friendship Firehouse will make every father an honorary chief of the Friendship Fire Company Bucket Brigade; and Dad will receive his own honorary chief certificate!

Friendship Firehouse Festival. 
Held annually, on the first Saturday in August on the 100 block of South Alfred Street. Tour the Firehouse, get a free fire hat, climb up on a real fire truck, shop from arts & crafts vendors, and enjoy a piece of cake as we celebrate our anniversary!

Firefighters Memorial Service and Wreath Laying Ceremony
Held at the Ivy Hill Cemetery (2823 King Street, Alexandria) during Fire Prevention Week, this event honors Alexandria firefighters fallen in the line of duty.  The Friendship Luncheon follows the ceremony. Sponsored jointly with the Ivy Hill Cemetery Memorial Association this service is attended by Firefighters, City Officials, and members of the Association.
